Water Skills have the ability to assist clients through the conceptual design stages, process design stage, specification and engineering stage as well as the actual construction and project management phases. We have been involved in many various contractual arrangements and are flexible to meet customers’ specific requirements.
Through our partners in the industry, we can offer the following type of plants on this basis:

PACKAGE SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANTS
We offer various types of compact sewage treatment plants, depending on suitability for a particular client.
The types of plants we offer are the following:
❯ Extended aeration.
❯ Sequential batch reactor systems (SBR).
❯ Fixed film reactor technology.
❯ Combination high rate trickling filter technology.
Packaged MBR sewage treatment works – these are high intensity systems that allow higher capacity on smaller footprint.
The plants are cost effective up to about 1000 m3 per day. For plants bigger than these we have other solutions and configurations that will be more cost-effective.

Filter Floor Systems

We can do full plant designs for clients including:
Process Design and plant lay-out. This normally entails drawings and 3D models of total works. We have extended design and simulation models for all configurations.
CFD analysis: We are using top end software to simulate hydraulic and process related equipment and use the same techniques in optimization of hydraulic structures or process units.
Mechanical design, electrical design and scope.
In many cases we will do the process design and 3D plant drawings for a client. The client can then utilize his own civil engineer to do structural design and civil works, while we will then handle the process, mechanical, electrical work and commissioning and operation of the works. We can however still do the civil works through our subsidiaries, is so preferred.
We manufacture pipe specials and equipment for the water industry in mild steel or stainless steel
Mild steel: Sizes up to 600 NB
Stainless steel: Any size up to 2000 mm
We have our own sandblast and coating facilities to match any specification. DWAF Specifications are our standard. All steel manufacturing are done to ASME IX codes
PACKAGE PORTABLE WATER TREATMENT PLANTS
❯ Robust and simple solutions
❯ Capacities from 25 000 litres per day, up to as much as 8 million litres per day have been provided.
❯ Performance equal or better than conventional water works
❯ Plants can be skid mounted / containerized for quick commissioning on site, or built onto trailers for maximum adaptability.
❯ The technology used is the same as in conventional municipal works
❯ Plants can be manual, semi-automatic or fully automated with remote control / monitoring functions
❯ The process units can be manufactured from either PVC, GRP or Steel. Steel is preferred where the client prefers “package” plants that last as long as conventional plants.
PLANT OPERATION & SERVICES
There is a huge demand for skilled operators and service technicians in the water and effluent field. Because we are designers and constructors of most of the plant types and equipment used in the water and sewage industry, we have an in-depth knowledge on how to extract the most value from these investments and can many times do it cheaper than most of our competitors.
Our view is that properly selected and serviced mechanical equipment should last at least 15-25 years. We offer any service that our clients require to look after their investments, from basic service contracts, to comprehensive operation and maintenance contracts.
